Procyon
For the latest tracks visit the Procyon website.. It's really nice!
This is the moniker under which I produce all my music. I use
a combination of software, but mostly various stages of the
FL Studio series. Originally I started out using the mostly-fun-mostly-shit
Music/Music 2000/3000 series of creation software for the Playstation
2. Once I got a good enough PC I upgraded to making music a
little better. |

Chaos Theory >> Size: 3.7MB | Length: 4:08
This track was one of my first attempts at industrial electro,
going for a very dark and sinister feel. The lyrics are inspired
by a book by secondary-school-english-story-writing permadullard
Dean Koontz, about a man who commits small acts of chaos in
an attempt to right the wrongs of the world. I like this track,
but the vocal levels need sorting.

Vulture
>> Size: 4.2MB | Length:
4:36
This is a very danceable electro track, pretty much dead in
the centre of the EBM genre. Combining standard dark stuff,
with elements from the trance genre and elsewhere, this tune
becomes an upbeat bouncy track. The vocals are still off though,
haha.

Mentality
>> Size: 3.6MB | Length:
3:58
My very first attempt at electro with vocals, I really like
this song, and the vocals are better levelled than before.
The lyrics were written at some godawful time of the night,
so that is my excuse for them being a little crap. Hurrah!
I do however enjoy the acoustic nature of most of the music
in it, even though it is all electronic in truth.

Elemental
>> Size: 3.4MB | Length:
3:42
This is very minimal bassy ambience, one day I felt like trying
something completely different so I did. Piano, strings, flanged
percussion and a one note bass. Works nicely I think. My old
flatmate described it as making her feel very "warm and
safe", but there again she is delightfully nuts.

Caverns
>> Size: 2.8MB | Length:
3:06
My personal favourite chilled track, this one fulfils the "earth"
part the journey in my forthcoming EP "Elemental",
which journeys through earth, fire, ice, water and wind. Not
completed yet, and wont be until I fix my PC!

Ripples
>> Size: 3.1MB | Length:
3:23
On acidplanet.com this track hit the Top 100, and was enjoyed
by quite a lot of people. Strangely enough, this is the track
that took me near enough the least amount of time, having knocked
it up in around half an hour. Pleasing synths and general happiness
prevail in this tune, give it a listen and float away to this,
the "water" section of Elemental.

Nitro
>> Size: 2.6MB | Length:
2:51
This track started as an experiment with analogue sounding synths
to create a very dynamic pitch-annihilating melody. It then
turned into a full on track which is really up-tempo. I really
like this track, its dark, yet very bouncy at the same time.

Dreamcatcher
>> Size: 4.5MB | Length:
4:53
One of my happy happy bouncy melodic trance tunes, starts out
quite slow with lots of strings and swooping synths... speeds
up at the bridge, then hits a rather pleasing breakdown. I like
this track, regardless of how cheesy it is.

Apocalyptik
>> Size: 4.5MB | Length:
4:51
My first attempt at a track with a breakdown in it, I loved
this track when I first made it. Not as hugely fond of it now,
I can never made a good intro for it (this is about the 4th
incarnation of this track). Still, it was worth uploading and
worth a listen anyway.

Punctuated
Existence >> Size: 3.6MB
| Length: 3:53
I made this track for the b3tan known as "Comma" hence
the title. Some elements of this track are a bit poo (the flat
levelling mostly), but some elements are really nice too such
as the synth at 01:23 or so. I still felt it worthy to be uploaded.

Scoped
>> Size: 3.2MB | Length:
3:30
This track is a total experiment, can I made a track solely
out of oscillators? Oscillators are produces of a perfect sine
wave when unaltered, yet with 3 different oscillators for each
sound, manipulated how I wish.. a large number of sounds can
be created. There isnt a single sample of anything in this track,
and it gives the sound of 80s computer gaming.

Sailors
Hornpipe (ITLAP Mix) >> Size:
3.2MB | Length: 3:28
I made this rather... interesting version of the Sailors Hornpipe
(or the music from Blue Peter as many people will know it) for
International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2005. It is jolly, bouncy
and on the whole quite silly. Enjoy. Back to top |

Alex
Kidd (In 1995) >> Size: 4.0MB
| Length: 4:24
This is a cover of the original level music for Alex Kidd in
Miracle World, halved in speed, played out quite ambiently..
with a silly dance piano breakdown afterwards. Was just a bit
of fun.

Huddersfield,
Bloody Huddersfield >> Size:
5.8MB | Length: 5:01
Something completely different, this was a song I wrote when
I first moved to Huddersfield in 2004. It had rained every single
day for the month or so I had been there and it was getting
depressing. Use of a line-in cable meant I could play in my
guitar and keyboard direct, unfortunately one of the filter
plug-ins I used produces the weird fuzzy splash noises which
you hear at the start mainly.
